Schedule A LinkedIn Poll

Create and publish polls to both LinkedIn Pages and Personal Profiles.

With LinkedIn Polls, you can gauge opinions, gather feedback, and nurture engagement within your professional network.

Note: If a media or link is added to a LinkedIn post, a poll cannot be created.

How To Schedule A LinkedIn Poll?

  1. Go to Compose.

  2. Select one or more LinkedIn Profile(s) or Page(s).

  3. Add a caption (up to 5000 characters).

  4. Open LinkedIn by clicking and click Add a poll.

  5. Add a Question (up to 140 characters)

  6. Add Choice 1 and Choice 2 (up to 30 characters)

  7. Choose the desired Date and time option and press the Post Now or Schedule button.

You can also do the following:

  • Add 2 more choices by clicking Add another choice.

  • Change the Poll duration. By default, 1 week is selected.

  • Turn off comments for this post.

  • Schedule First comment

  • To remove the poll from a post, click Remove.

Tip: You can create Events to mark the voting duration in your Planner and as a reminder to check the final results of your poll.

Limitations Of LinkedIn Polls

While LinkedIn Polls are a great way to boost engagement, there are a few limitations to keep in mind:

  • Up to 4 answer options: You can’t add more than four choices to any poll.

  • Limited duration options: Polls can only run for 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, or 2 weeks. Custom durations aren’t available.

  • Limited results visibility: You can see the total number of votes and engagement, but detailed insights about individual voters aren’t provided.
