Obtaining Past Report Data (Backfilling)
When you connect a social profile to Statusbrew, its historical data is automatically pulled in. The amount of data retrieved depends on each platform's API limits.
This article explains how historical data retrieval (backfilling) works.
What Is Backfill?
When you connect a new social profile to Statusbrew, it starts collecting data from that point onward. However, some social networks allow access to historical data - data from before the connection. Retrieving this past data is called backfilling.
Supported Backfilling For Each Social Network
Network | Backfill |
X (Twitter) | 2 weeks |
12-18 months | |
12-18 months | |
Threads | 12 months |
12 months | |
12 months | |
YouTube | 18 months |
Google Business Profile | 18 months |
TikTok | 45 days |
Since Instagram Stories content disappears after 24 hours, it is not possible to obtain that data via the API.

FAQs
Is backfilled data as accurate as native data?
Yes, backfilled data is pulled directly from each platform’s API, ensuring accuracy. However, please note that some past data may not be available due to changes in the platform's data-provision policy.
How long does backfilling take?
Backfilling typically takes 24 to 36 hours to complete.
Why is a social profile not showing any data in Reports?
There are two common reasons a connected profile might show no data in Reports.
You don't have access to that profile: In Statusbrew, profile access is managed through permissions. If a profile isn't appearing in Reports at all, you likely don't have access to it. Ask your Primary Owner or Owner to review and update your profile permissions. Once access is granted, the profile and its data will become visible.
The data sync hasn't been initiated yet: For some profiles, whether LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, or others, the initial data sync may not have been triggered after the profile was connected. This is handled on Statusbrew's end. Contact support via Live Chat or email support@statusbrew.com, and the team will initiate the sync for you.
Why is my analytics showing no data even if the profile shows active?
If your report is empty or the data isn't loading, work through these steps in order:
Filters: Check if any filters are active on the report canvas. Active filters can limit the data displayed. Remove them and see if data appears.
Data sources: Click the data source selector next to the report name. Make sure the profiles you want to see data for are selected.
Date range: Check the reporting period in the top-right corner. Make sure it covers the dates for which you're expecting data.
Permissions: You need the Create Reports permission to see any data in reports. This applies even if a teammate has added you as a collaborator on their report. Without this permission, the Reports module will load but appear empty. Ask your Admin, Owner, or Primary Owner to go to Settings > Profiles, click More beside the relevant profile, select Edit, and assign you the Create Reports permission.
Request a data sync: If the profile was recently connected and data still isn't showing after the steps above, contact Statusbrew support to initiate a data sync for your newly connected profile.
