How Can I Filter Ad Comments?

Filter ad comments in Statusbrew using either custom views or Team inboxes for better inbox management.

In Statusbrew, you can filter both Facebook and Instagram ad comments. This article will focus on the process of filtering Facebook ad comments, which can also be applied to Instagram ad comments. There are two ways to filter ad comments in Statusbrew:

How To Filter Ad Comments By Creating A View?

Views are custom inboxes that users create to manage and organize conversations within Engage. By applying specific filters, users can create different views that show only the conversations matching those criteria. All filtered views will appear in the left navigation pane of the Engage screen.

  1. From the Statusbrew dashboard, go to Engage.

  2. Click (Create view) beside VIEWS from the sidebar.

  3. Give a suitable name to the View (e.g. Facebook Ad Comments View, Instagram Ad Comments View, or Ad Comments View)

  4. Add Filters. Click Add filter > Conversation type > Facebook Ad Comment > Done (if you want to consolidate Ad comments from all your Facebook Pages into a unified view)

  5. Click Save.

You can select with whom you wish to share the View in Share with section. By default, All team members option is selected. Click Specific users / user groups if you wish to share the view with only selected user or user groups. Select Only me to keep the view private.

How To Filter Ad Comments By Creating A Team Inbox?

A Team Inbox in Statusbrew is a specialized inbox designed to handle specific types of conversations. While you can manually move conversations one by one or in bulk into a Team Inbox, here's how you can automatically move ad comments to an inbox by creating a rule:

Create a Team Inbox for ad comments.

From the Statusbrew dashboard, go to the [[ic-rule-engine rule-engine]] Rule Engine and click Add New Rule.

Name the rule (e.g., "Facebook Ad Comments to Ad Comment Inbox Rule").

Select the Data sources (the desired Social Profiles & Profile groups).

To consolidate ad comments from all your Facebook Pages, add a Profile Group in the Data Sources.

To bifurcate ad comments by Facebook Pages, add the Data Source as a single profile or multiple profiles based on your preference.

Define a Trigger type (e.g., Message received).

Add Filters. Click Add condition > Conversation type > In(=) > Facebook Ad Comment.

Add Actions. Click Add a new action > Move to Engage Inboxes > Select the inbox you created > Add.
