External Approvers in Statusbrew
A few months ago, we introduced Shareable Calendars to make collaboration smoother across teams. Building on that, we've now added support for External Approvers, which makes it easier for agencies and teams to streamline their content review process with external stakeholders outside of Statusbrew.
With this update, external collaborators can review and approve content without needing an extra seat.
External Approvals are available on the Agency, Premium, and Enterprise plans. Users with Admin and Owner access can manage approval workflows.
Who are External Approvers?
External Approvers are collaborators outside your Statusbrew account—such as clients, legal teams, or external stakeholders—who can review, approve, or reject posts without needing to be added as full users.
They don’t require a Statusbrew login or user seat. Instead, they receive a secure one-time access link via email whenever a post is submitted for their approval.
External Approvers can:
View scheduled content shared with them
Leave comments or feedback
Approve or reject posts directly from the secure page
This feature is designed to make the review process seamless for people who are involved in content decisions but don’t need ongoing access to Statusbrew.
Add External Approvers
Go to Approval Workflows.
From your Entry dashboard, navigate to Settings → Approval Workflows.
Click on Create Workflow or select an existing one to edit.
Add External Approvers
In the approval step, click Add Approvers.
Enter the email address of the external contact you want to involve.
External approvers do not need a user seat—they will receive a secure email with a link to review and approve content.
Save the Workflow
Once configured, click Save or Update Workflow to apply the changes.
Select the workflow in Compose to include the external approver.
What External Approvers See
They will receive an email invitation when content is submitted for their review.
Clicking the link brings them to a secure approval page where they can:
View the content.
Approve or reject it.
Leave feedback or comments.
They don’t need to create an account or log in—everything happens through a one-time secure access link.
