Metric Discrepancies Between Statusbrew & Native Network Reports

You may notice slight variations in certain metrics in Statusbrew when compared with Page Insights or Creator Studio.

These differences arise because not all metrics are made available by Meta’s APIs. In such cases, Statusbrew uses closest available alternatives based on the data the APIs do provide.

Below, we’ve outlined the key metrics where discrepancies can occur and how Statusbrew handles them so that your reporting remains as accurate and consistent as possible.

Facebook

Views

Facebook does not provide a direct API for “Views.” Because of this, Statusbrew uses Impressions as the nearest possible metric.

While impressions give a strong indication of how often your content is displayed, they are not identical to views — especially for video content. As a result, these numbers will not exactly match what you see in Facebook Page Insights or Creator Studio.

Reach

The Reach metric available via Facebook’s API is an estimate, which can slightly differ from native Facebook analytics.

The reach that you see in Statusbrew might be a bit higher than native numbers.

Content Interactions

Facebook does not provide an API for “Content Interactions,” which is a composite metric in Facebook’s native reporting that includes all user engagement types (likes, comments, shares, clicks, etc.).

Statusbrew calculates Content Interactions by tracking daily new engagements across all organic posts over the last 90 days.

Because this calculation excludes paid (ads-based) interactions and uses API-accessible engagement data only, your Statusbrew numbers may appear lower than those shown in Facebook’s native analytics — which combine both organic and paid engagements.

Instagram

Reach

Reach is estimated, and while it will be close to the native numbers, it may not exactly match Creator Studio for date range beyond 30 days.

Instagram’s internal API calculates unique reach for the selected period. However, through the API, reach can only be retrieved in 30 day increments. For date ranges exceeding 30 days, reach is calculated separately for each 30 days. As a result, the reach for periods longer than 30 days may appear higher here compared to Instagram.

All Other Metrics

All other metrics are sourced directly from Meta’s Graph API and match exactly what’s displayed in Creator Studio.
