Common Publishing Errors
Troubleshoot failed posts across all social networks connected to Statusbrew.
How to Find the Error Message
When a post fails, go to Publish and look for posts with the Failed status. Click the post to open the detail panel, where the error message appears in red, along with a Retry now button.
Statusbrew automatically retries failed posts multiple times before marking them as permanently failed. If the post is still failing after retries, the error message will tell you what needs to be fixed.

Error: Your access token has expired or has been invalidated
Re-authenticate your Facebook profile. Go to Settings > Profiles, find the profile with the red cross icon, and click Reauthenticate. See How to Re-authenticate a Social Profile.

Error: (#32) Page request limit reached (code 32, subcode null)

LinkedIn Page Not Appearing in Compose
If a LinkedIn Page isn't showing up in the profile selector when composing a post, it means the connected account doesn't have Admin or Super Admin access to that Page. Statusbrew only shows profiles you have permission to publish to. FAQs
Why did my post fail, but then publish anyway?
Some temporary errors (like Facebook Code 2 or Instagram Code 2) resolve mid-retry. When this happens, Statusbrew may still show the post as failed even though it published. Always check the native platform before editing or retrying publishing a second time could create a duplicate post.
Can I retry a failed post without editing it?
Yes. Click the failed post in Publish and hit Retry now. Only retry without editing if the error was temporary (service outage, rate limit). If the error requires a fix (wrong media format, invalid link), edit first.
Why does re-authenticating fix so many errors?
Most publishing errors are permission or token errors. Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn tokens expire or get invalidated when passwords change, permissions are revoked, or sessions are reset by the platform. Re-authenticating gives Statusbrew a fresh token with the correct permissions.
My post is failing with a permissions error, but I haven't changed anything. Why?
Facebook and Instagram periodically revoke third-party app permissions without any action on your part. Go to Facebook Business Integrations and check that all permissions for Statusbrew are still enabled, then re-authenticate.
How do I get notified when a post fails?
Go to Settings > Notification Rules, create a rule with the trigger Post Failed, and choose your notification channel (email, Slack, in-app). See Realtime Social Media Notifications.
What's the difference between a failed post and a rejected post?
A failed post is one Statusbrew tried to publish but the social network returned an error. A rejected post never reached the network; it was stopped during your internal approval workflow or by a Publish Rule.
