Types of Notifications

Statusbrew sends various types of notifications on your mobile to ensure you’re updated on your social media workflow.

How to Enable or Disable All Notifications?

For both Android and iOS, once you install the Statusbrew Companion App on your mobile device, you will receive the following notification when you open the app.

To enable tap "Allow" or "Don't allow" to disable notifications.

OR

Go to your mobile device's Settings > Apps > App management > search for Statusbrew > Manage notifications > toggle the “Allow notifications” option to enable notifications, or if the option is toggled on, turn it off to disable notifications. The exact options may vary depending on the mobile device.

Note: Uninstalling the mobile app will disable all notifications. You will need to re-enable them after you reinstall and log back in.

How to Troubleshoot Notification Issues?

If you have notifications turned on in the Statusbrew mobile app but you aren’t getting them, complete the troubleshooting steps in this article first: Statusbrew Mobile App Troubleshooting

Then check for any device settings that might be blocking notifications:

  • Make sure that notifications for the Statusbrew app are turned on in your device Settings.

  • Ensure you have allowed notifications for Statusbrew in your device settings (Android or iOS).

  • Check if Do Not Disturb mode or any energy-saving device settings or apps are enabled on your device as they can prevent notifications.

  • Make sure your internet connection is stable, as it may interfere with real-time updates.

FAQs

Do I need to add a phone number to receive mobile notifications?

No. Statusbrew doesn't use phone numbers or SMS for notifications. All mobile notifications are delivered as push notifications through the Statusbrew mobile app.

To receive notifications on your phone:

  • Download the Statusbrew app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and log in with your Statusbrew account.

  • On the web app, click your Profile Avatar at the bottom left > Your Account Notification Settings.

  • Check the Mobile column for each notification type you want to receive on your phone.

  • Click Save.

Why am I not receiving mobile notifications?

If you have the app installed but notifications aren't coming through, check the following:

  • Make sure notifications for Statusbrew are allowed in your device Settings.

  • Check if Do Not Disturb mode or any energy-saving settings are enabled on your device.

  • Make sure your internet connection is stable.

  • Confirm that the Mobile checkboxes are enabled in your Notification Settings on the web app (Profile Avatar > Your Account > Notification Settings).

Will I lose my notifications if I log out of the app?

Yes. Logging out of or uninstalling the Statusbrew mobile app will disable all mobile notifications. You'll need to log back in and re-enable notifications on your device after reinstalling.

Can I get notified on my phone when it's time to publish an Instagram or TikTok post?

Yes. Statusbrew supports Publish via mobile reminders for Instagram Stories, Instagram Posts, and TikTok posts. When you schedule a post using this method, you'll receive a push notification on your phone when it's time to publish.

Make sure you're logged into the Statusbrew mobile app to receive these reminders. You can also select specific users or user groups to receive the reminder inside the post composer; all users with publishing access for that profile will be notified.
