Link Presets

Link presets let you apply tracking parameters to your links with one click.

Presets save time for team members when creating new posts and keep everyone's posts consistent.

Primary Owners, Owners, and Admins can create and manage Link presets.

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Link Presets.

  3. Click Add link present.

  4. Add a Name for the preset.

  5. Click Add tracking param and select a parameter from the dropdown. You can select from the existing parameters (UTM Campaign, UTM Source, UTM Medium, UTM Term, UTM Content) or choose to add a custom parameter.

  6. Select the Type you want to use for the parameter from the dropdown. Choose from:

    • Social: The value will be “social” to represent that the campaign traffic comes from a social media source.

    • Social network: Keep the value so it dynamically shows the name of the network to which the post is published. For example, publishing to Instagram would show instagram in the parameter.

    • Profile name: Set the value so it displays the profile name of the account on which the post is being published.

    • Profile username: Select this option to insert the profile’s handle/username used on the platform.

    • Tags: Any tags associated with the post in the platform are included in the parameter.

    • Post Title: Select this to insert the internal title of the post into the parameter.

    • Custom: Choose when you want to define your own custom text or dynamic token from the above. You first need to enter a Param key. After defining the param key, you can choose the Type of values you want to assign from either Dynamic values, such as Social network, Profile name, Profile username, Tags, or Post Title, or enter a fixed Custom value for that parameter.

  7. Click Add tracking param to add another parameter and its type.

  8. Preview the link.

  9. Click Save.

You can add the UTM parameters to a link in Compose:

  1. Go to Compose and add a link in the caption box.

  2. In the Campaign URL Builder section, you will see the default link presets already added. If you want to change, click Edit beside Add campaign parameters. The Campaign Parameter dialog will open. If you do not have a default preset set up, you will see the Add campaign parameter button, on which you can click to open the Campaign Parameter dialog.

  3. Select Choose from link presets and choose a saved parameter set from the dropdown.

  4. If you want, you can also edit the parameters. But these changes won’t be saved in the link preset.

  5. Preview the link.

  6. Click Submit.

You can also choose to shorten your links.

You can also add the UTM parameters to any Post link in Compose for Instagram profiles for the BrewLink in Bio site.

  1. Go to Compose, select Instagram profile(s) from the Profile Picker. Ensure that BrewLink in Bio is enabled for the selected Instagram profile(s).

  2. In Instagram options, add the link in the Post link box. The default link presets will already be applied. If you want to change, click Add campaign parameters.

  3. The Campaign Parameter dialog will open. Select Choose from link presets and choose a saved parameter set from the dropdown.

  4. If you want, you can also edit the parameters. But these changes won’t be saved in the link preset.

  5. Preview the link.

  6. Click Submit.

Going to Settings > Link Presets will open the Link Presets window, where you will be able to see a list of all the Link Presets set up by you and your team.

The Link Presets window can also be accessed from the Campaign Parameter dialog when using a preset by clicking on Manage link preset.

Presets are classified as:

  • Active presets: Presets that are currently available for use

  • Archived presets: Presets that are not currently active. Archived presets cannot be used until they are restored to active status.

Click (More options) besides a present to edit, archive, or set it as default:

  • Clicking Edit will open the Edit preset window, where you can make modifications. Once done, click Save to save your changes.

  • Clicking Archive will move the preset from the active list to the archived list, making it unavailable for immediate use until reactivated.

  • Clicking Set as default will make the selected preset the default one, so it will be automatically applied. The default preset will be indicated by a green Default label in the active presets list. You can have only one default preset or no default preset.

  • Clicking Remove as default (for default presets) will remove the default status from the preset, so it will no longer be automatically applied by default.

  • Clicking Activate beside the archived presets will restore the preset to the active list, making it available for use again.

A default link preset is a pre-selected set of tracking parameters that is automatically applied to all your links in Compose, saving time and ensuring consistency across all your posts.

When a default preset is set, it will be applied automatically whenever you add a link in Compose. You can choose to change it also.

You can have only one default preset at a time, or you can choose not to set any default preset. The default preset will be marked with a green Default label in your active presets list for easy identification.

To set or change the default link preset:

  1. Go to Settings > Link Presets.

  2. Find the preset you want to make default in the Active presets list.

  3. Click (More options) and select Set as default.

The preset will now automatically apply to all new links in Compose.

To remove the default status:

  1. Click (More options) beside the default preset.

  2. Select Remove as default. The preset will remain active but will no longer auto-apply.

💡 Tip: Setting a default preset is especially useful for teams that run ongoing campaigns and want to maintain consistent UTM parameters without manually adding them each time.
