Advanced Account Management

Advanced Account Management includes multi-client management for agencies, deleting spaces, generating and sharing external links, and more

Custom Post Variables

With Custom Post Variables, you can personalize posts by inserting dynamic fields—like URLs, store addresses, or contact info—that automatically change based on the social profile.

You can create as many variables as you need, and Statusbrew will handle the rest. No more copy-pasting!

Why to use Custom Variables

They save time, reduce manual errors, and help you stay consistent.

Instead of creating separate posts for each location, page, or brand account, just insert a variable like {websiteurl} or {menulink}. Statusbrew will automatically fill in the right value based on the profile.

It’s especially useful if you:

  • Manage multiple locations or brands

  • Share the same creative across profiles but with different links or contact info

  • Want a cleaner, faster way to personalize posts at scale

Set it once, reuse it everywhere.

Types of Variables

There are two types of variables you can create in Statusbrew:

  • Text - Use this for anything that’s not a link—like a store name, address, email, phone number, or CTA label

  • URL - Perfect for links—website URLs, menu pages, appointment links, promo URLs, or UTM-tracked links

Create a Custom Variable

  1. Open your Statusbrew dashboard

  2. Go to Settings Custom Post Variables

  3. Click Add custom variable button

  4. Choose a type: Text or URL

  5. Enter a Variable name (e.g., website_url, cta, support_email)

  6. Click Save

Assign Values

  1. After creating a variable, you’ll see a list of all connected social profiles along with fields to enter the value

  2. For each profile, enter the value you want (e.g., a location-specific link, email, or phone number)

  3. The form is autosaved!

Now whenever you use that variable in a post, Statusbrew will auto-insert the right value based on the profile you're publishing to.

Use Variables in Posts

  1. Go to Compose

  2. Select one or more social profiles

  3. In the composer, you have two ways to insert a variable:

    1. Option 1: Use the variable button

      1. Click the icon below the composer

      2. A list of all your saved variables will appear

      3. Click on the variable you want to insert (e.g. {{WebsiteURL}})

    2. Option 2: Type manually

      1. Type {{ directly into the composer

      2. A list of matching variables will appear as you type

      3. Select the one you want to use

  4. When you publish or schedule the post, Statusbrew will automatically replace the variable with the right value for each selected social profile.

💡 Tip You can also click Manage from the menu while composing a post in Compose. This will take you straight to the Custom Post Variables settings page—handy if you need to create or delete a variable on the fly.

Delete Variables

  • Go to Settings Custom Post Variables

  • Hover over the column header of the variable you want to delete

  • Click the Delete icon that appears

  • Confirm the deletion
