Here is a step-by-step procedure on how to post on Instagram from PC.
Step 1: Go to Instagram & log in to your account (if you aren't logged in to your account in your browser already).
Step 2: Click the plus sign at the top right corner of the screen. A "Create new post" window will appear at the center of your screen.
Step 3: Click on "Select from computer" to browse your computer & pick an image(s) or video(s) for your post. Alternatively, you can drag photo or video files into the window.
Step 4: You can change the ratio of your image or video by clicking on the frame icon at the bottom left side. You can also click on the glass icon & use the zoom feature to edit your frame.
If you wish to create a carousel post, you can select up to 10 files. To add more images or video files, you can click on the rounded square icon from the bottom right corner and then click on the plus sign.
Once you are done, click "Next" from the top right corner.
Step 5: You can now edit your images or videos by selecting one of the 12 effects from the Filters tab. You can also go to the Adjustments tab & adjust factors such as brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature, fade, and vignette manually. Click "Next" once done.
Step 6: Now, you will be required to write a caption for your post within 2200 character limits. You can click on the smiley face icon & pick emojis to add to your caption.
You can also add a location by typing it in the "Add location" space, add alt text to your files in the "Accessibility" section, or even turn off comments on your post from the "Advanced settings" option.
