How To Set Up Brand Voice In Statusbrew?

A brand voice in Statusbrew tells Brew AI how your brand sounds, so the content you generate with Brew AI matches your tone, audience and messaging style.

Who Can Do This?

Primary Owners, Owners and Admins can set up brand voice.

What Is A Brand Voice?

Brand voice is the consistent personality your brand uses to talk to its audience across every channel. It's how your brand expresses its values, so people recognize it and relate to it.

Use it everywhere your brand speaks: social media posts, ads, newsletters, customer care replies and even internal announcements.

Setting up your brand voice is an important first step before you use Brew AI. It makes sure the content Brew AI generates for you reflects your messaging style and sounds like your brand at every touchpoint.

How Do I Set Up A Brand Voice?

  • Go to Settings → AI brand voice.

  • Click Add Brand Voice and pick one of two options:

    • Create from scratch: enter your brand details yourself.

    • Generate from URL: enter your website URL, and Statusbrew fetches and prefills the details for you.

Method 1: Create From Scratch

Click Create from scratch to open the Create Brand Voice dialog. Fill in each field:

  • Name (required): a name for this brand voice, so you can recognize it in Statusbrew. You can also change its icon.

  • Purpose (required): the "why" behind your brand's communication, such as your mission or goals, in up to 120 characters. For example, "Educate small business owners about finance."

  • Audience (required): who your brand is speaking to, in up to 120 characters. Be as specific as you can, for example "Young entrepreneurs aged 20-35."

  • Tone: your brand's general vibe, entered as comma-separated values, such as friendly, bold, helpful, professional.

  • Characters: what your brand would sound like as a person. List archetypes or roles, such as a teacher, a coach, a friend, a journalist.

  • Emotion: the feelings you want your audience to have, such as trust, excitement, safety, curiosity.

  • Syntax: how your brand usually structures its language, such as short and punchy sentences, story-driven paragraphs or formal and structured grammar.

  • Language: keywords, phrases or expressions your brand uses often, such as let's dive in, quick win, eco-conscious, built for you.

Click Save. You can edit it later as your brand evolves.

Method 2: Generate From URL

  • Click Generate from URL.

  • In the Create Brand Voice dialog, enter your website URL in the Link field and click Generate.

  • Statusbrew analyzes your site and fills in the brand voice fields. Review and fine-tune them, then click Save.

Generating a brand voice from a URL uses AI credits. Creating one from scratch does not. Learn more in Understanding AI Credits.
