Hootsuite, like other leading platforms (Sprout Social, Sprinklr, etc.), is not customer-friendly despite being a good enough platform. They are getting discovered (due to their ads on your social, their name in the media, and paid influencers talking about them).
Their incentive structure aligns with growing faster, which is okay, but not at the expense of upselling and raising prices for existing customers.
If you go to their website, you will see more and more references around Enterprise. Hootsuite even added an enterprise page to its website header. These plans are not cheap.
And constantly harassing existing customers by gatekeeping simple features in these plans and pushing people to upgrade or lock them in long contracts.
